Dexter is one of those shows that you just have to tell everyone you know to watch it. I think what makes it appeal to a lot of people is the fact that the main character is one of the bad guys. Dexter works for the Miami Police Department as a forensic blood splatter specialist and he is also serial killer.
The line between good and evil is often blurred because Dexter only kills bad guys who deserve it. This makes for a interesting show, one in which the audience is rooting for the killer.
Michael C Hall does an incredible job as Dexter and overshadows the whole supporting cast. Most of the other actors play typical "cop" roles but don't worry because they really get good in later seasons.
Definitely check this show out if like good television.
