Director John Hughes died this morning of a heart attack while he was on a walk. Hughes was a movie titan back in the 1980s. He most notably directed The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day off, Sixteen Candles, and Weird Science.
He also wrote a ton of movies including my two favorite Christmas movies: Home Alone and Christmas Vacation. Hughes was able to capture what it was like to grow up during those awkward puberty years. He will always be known as the King of the Teen Comedies.
